A: All patients are assessed, managed and monitored by an independent weight loss clinician. There is no sign on fee or lump sum fee. You are welcome to discontinue at any time if you feel the program is not right for you
FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATIONS – With Medicare Rebate
Fees are consultation time based

At the 1st appointment ($75 OOP out-of pocket), your doctor will conduct a through medical assessment and discuss a personalised diet plan.
Your 2nd Appointment ($155.10 OOP) is an extended “Induction” appointment – Your doctor will start you on your weight loss diet and discuss any medications as appropriate. A detailed program guide, recipes and medication information will be provided to start you on your journey.
Your 3rd Appointment– ($75 OOP) 1 week later, is usually when you will start medications after having a chance to review all the information your doctor will provide. Medications are only prescribed if you qualify and it is safe for you to use them.
Your 4th and then ongoing ($75 OOP) regular monthly appointment- 4 weeks later – Your doctor will supervise and support you through any challenges you face during your weight loss Journey.

Medicare rebates apply for all face-to-face consults for patients with Medicare cards. The OOP fee refers to the Out-Of -Pocket charge to you after the rebate is claimed.
The full fee needs to be paid on the day, The Medicare rebate
can be claimed and Medicare will usually deposit the funds into your
account within 2-3 days.
All prescription request by consultation only. We do not offer phone or email script requests.
TELE-MEDICINE CONSULTS (Phone and Video) – With Medicare Rebate
Please note the Telehealth fees are the same as the on-site fees as above .
This is a consultation with your Elina Doctor however, you actually stay at home and the doctor manages your weight by use of a video-call. the system is simple, secure and easy to access.
The Australian Government provides Medicare funding for telehealth consultations only if you are able to attend a direct face to face consult with your doctor. If you can come to visit in person then please book a face to face consultation at least once and future consults by telehealth will attract a Medicare rebate.
The doctors suggest booking your first, introduction, appointment with a face face to face, then ongoing consults can be by phone or video and the medicare rebate is available to you for 12 months.
TELE-MEDICINE CONSULTS (Phone and Video) – NO Medicare Rebate (eg no medicare card or cant attend for a face to face appointment)
Your doctor charges the same fee as per a face to face appointment, however there is no rebate from medicare unless you have attended for a face to face at least once in the prior 12 months. The doctor can still look after you but there will be no medicare rebate available. These appointments need to be prepaid.
Initial Intro Appointment – $118.90 (no medicare rebate)
Follow up extended Appointment – $240 (no medicare rebate)
4-6 weekly follow up appointments – $118.90 (no Medicare rebate)
Weekends + $25

Q: Late Cancellation or No Show Policy?
A: Late Cancellation / No Show Fees.
Your doctor kindly asks that you provide sufficient notice if you are unable to make your appointment so that we can offer the time to another patient. They require at least 24 hours notice if you cannot keep your appointment.
A cancellation fee /no show fee will otherwise apply. The fee is not rebatable through Medicare.
If there are any circumstances beyond your control which prevent you from cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice you should let us know as soon as possible. Please call to cancel on 0395812609
